Mountain Hotel by BIG
Bjarke Ingels will built a hotel near the ski resort Hafjell Mountain in Norway. The starting point of the project is a traditional hotel block that allows to come a sunshine in and have a good view to all rooms. The hotel staff has the possibility to move through the built-up area without having to move from building to building. The hotel is stretched down to the valley. On the top of the building is the main area with few terrace, which are in the shape of a contour line.
Peirao XXI by Jean Nouvel
French architect Jean Nouvel won a competiton for revitalisation of the port in Spain city Vigo. It should be a huge leisure destination. The conception is to build pier from apartments. At the end will be „menhyr“, which will be used for main areas of hotel, offices and a conference centre. This object gives to whole project strong visual styl.
Digital Water Pavilion by MIT
Massachusetts Institute of Technology researchers design a building made of water that will flow at Expo Zaragoza in Spain next year. The walls will be made by water and operating digitally. This water curtains can show shapes and it also can open gate for visitors. The roof will be supported by large pillars that can move up and down. When there is too much wind, the roof will lower. Similarly, when the pavilion is closed, the whole roof will collapse to the ground and the structure will disappear.
Dupli.Casa by J. Mayer H.
Dupli.Casa over viewing the downtown of Marbach and the German national literature archive from the other side of the valley Neckar is a work of German architect J. Mayer H. Mayer totally rebuilt the house dating to 1984 to a modern villa that takes advantage of being situated on an uphill. Villa with its three floors is orientated into all cardinal points and it represents a sophisticated harmony of interior and exterior. The simple geometric forms were combined with the smooth white facade and glass features.
