Tower by Jean Nouvel in Beirut
Architect Jean Nouvel has restarted work on large mixed-use development in central Beirut, Lebanon. The project will consist 3 buildings,where the heighest tower will have 27 floors. Part of the buildings will be horizontal commercial and leisure street, hotels and apartments. Nouvel won the project in 2004 but it was put on hold. Nouvel has now revised his ideas.
The National Grand Theatre in Beijing (photos)
Not fare ago the National Grand Theatre was opened. It has simple organic shape, which is terminate by water jump. The project was created by french architect Paul Andreu.
Social housing in Paris
French architect,Eduard Francois, designed a project of a hundred apartements in 3 storey buildings. The concept based on solution of exterior, not the buildings themselves. It connect surroundings with organic garden. Houses are bristle by trees and create lanes full of greenery.
Xi gallery by Mass Studies
In korean town Pusan, a building for company Xi was built. The object is a new typological kind that could be called a gallery for comerce. Company Xi is a designer and seller of apartements, so they let build this building as a presentation of their work. The object are lifted up and naked, it strips borders between public and private.
